Multi-season support is available...

This is a major update tonight. We just added multi-season support. So if you already own a league, you will not lose past season statistics.

All you have to do is to go to “Seasons” section on the main menu and then, add a new season. Give it a short name… Something like “2011-12” or “Winter 2011-12”.

If you already had a season complete, the first season you will add will be associated with this season. You should name it something like “2010-11”. Once this first season is created, add a new one for your coming up season (“2011-12”).

Currently, statistics are not filterable by season. Only current season is shown. Once Lygue (http://facebook.com/Lygue) will be released, you will be able to browse past seasons statistics.

Soon, Ligues.ca will become Lygue. We have decided to change our name to something easy to remember, available under dotcom and easy to say in any languages.

With this new name coming new stuff:

New user dashboard: Recent updates from leagues you are playing in, your calendar, statistics, discussions and photos.
New league admin panel seperated from leagues
A dashboard in your admin panel; Shows you new comments and discussions
New leagues design made by La Web Shop
Multi-season support: possibility to browse past seasons statistics (teams, players, suspensions and injuries).
Mass-mailing: possibility to send an email to all players or a team

At the same time, we will move to new servers more powerful at Rackspace.

Minor update - Basic version of hockey leagues

Some of you asked us to be able to got a basic version of hockey leagues. So it’s now possible to manage your hockey league without players statistics.

Standing is based on games final score. So instead of entering goals (and assists), penalties and goalies stats, you just need to enter final score and sportsmanship points (if necessary).

By default, when you add your league, you got premium plan (with players statistics). If you need basic plan, just send us an email (http://ligues.ca/contact).

Volleyball update...

Tonight, we made a small update to volleyball leagues. You are now able to set how much points you allow per won inning.

You are also able to hide unused columns in the standing: Ties, Points, Points against and Sportsmanship.

Standing statistics: Wins and losses.
Schedule: possibility to enter a field’s name (or number) like volleyball.

A few weeks ago, we released baseball and most recently, basketball and volleyball. But summer also rhymes with soccer and football. So here they are… You are now able to create soccer and football leagues.

To ensure that these sports will be available this summer, the players statistics are not recorded. You can add players but without statistics. Players statistics will be added later…

As you know, we are working on baseball leagues since a while. So, today is the big day. We release baseball leagues and some minor updates.

At bat, Runs scored, Hits, Total base, Doubles, Triples, Homeruns, Run batted in, Base on ball, Strikeouts, Stolen bases and Batting average.

Pitching statistics

How to change the date of a game

It is now possible to change the date of a game. Simply edit a game and click on “Change date” tab.

Hockey playoff & Baseball news

Hockey playoff

Playoff are probably coming soon in your league. Tomorrow, we’ve added “Playoff” filter in section Schedule. So, now, you are able to enter your playoff schedule.

Like pre-season games, playoff games will not affect teams and players statistics. But, next season, pre-season and playoff games statistics will be displayed in teams and players profiles; a row per type of games.

Baseball

We are working really hard to launch baseball leagues soon. We have about 50% completed.

We are currently working on game’s summary. Summaries will be split into 3 blocks: scoreboard, batting and pitching. Scoreboard consist of points per inning for both teams, batting table list players statistics seperated per team and pitching shows pitchers statistics.

Leaderboard in Players section will display top players for batting average, homeruns and hits. It will also shows top pitchers for wins, average and strikeouts.

11 batting statistics will be compiled: total of games played, at bats, runs, hits, total bases, doubles, triples, homeruns, base on balls, strikeouts and batting average. Pitching statistics are not decided as well.
